Telecoms Analyst
A Leading multinational company have an urgent requirement for a telecoms analyst. This is a contract role till January with the possibility of becoming permanent. Rate £100-£150 per day. Based just outside Glasgow.
Requirements:
- VOIP
- Call manager administration and configuration
- Knowledge of phone/user configuration
- Knowledge of Gateway configuration and troubleshooting (Protocols. H323, MGCP, SIP)
- Design and configuration of Extension mobility (Users, User device profiles and use of BAT tool)
- Basic troubleshooting. No voice, one way voice, knowledge of codec's and their uses, lost calls, call routing, Phone registration.
- Understanding of RTMT and its uses in monitoring the network.
- Use of CiscoWorks
- Routing and switching:
- Routing . Routing protocols, IOS, Required feature sets.
- Replacing faulty hardware and copying Configs.
- Troubleshooting. Basic network troubleshooting practises.
- Switching . Knowledge of VLAN design and configuration.
- Replacing faulty hardware and copying Configs.
- Product install an configuration Cat 6500, 4500.
- Troubleshooting Layer 2 issues, Spanningtree.
- Use of Cisco Works
- A knowledge of Cabling design and installation
- Ability to design, install and document small projects. ( Data, voice and infrastructure )
- Also a knowledge of Metro Lan would be useful.
