Merson Signs is growing Scottish business with operations in Glasgow and London. We have many long term blue chip key clients like Tesco, HBoS, Volvo, BAA, Bovis and M&S. This appointment is in our Merson Contract Management department based in East Kilbride.

We have been successful in winning a major tender to provide and maintain high-level signage on the motorway network in the Glasgow area. We are looking for someone with construction or engineering experience to work with the implementation team as Project Manager. This project has 3 main stages – Product development, manufacture and installation – the latter on the motorway network itself.

This job will involve overall supervision of the project plan, ensuring progress towards defined project targets and reporting to the main board. It will also extend to devising a procurement plan for raw materials (in conjunction with our Procurement manager) and labour for the project and an element of financial monitoring (with our Commercial Director) against the plan.

Applicants should be familiar with project planning tools/software and have previous experience in construction, roads or engineering field.
