Hello there. My name is Tom (22) and I am looking at creating a 5-a-side, 7-a-side or 11-a-side football team to play in some sort of league next season.

Basically I moved to Glasgow from Dunfermline about 18 months ago now and have always meant to sign up with a team in the area (West End) but for one reason or another I've never bothered my arse to actually go and do it. Also the only adverts I've seen for players have been on the outskirts of Glasgow and it has mainly been for pub teams or ask for 'serious players only'.

Ideally I'd like a team that just enjoys playing more than anything, like when you’re a kid and just had a kick about with your mates and it was brilliant. Then as you got older the games became more competitive for your club/school or whatever and the fun was sucked right out of it by getting a bollocking from your coach and you end up quitting and spending Sunday mornings playing Champ Man instead (or at least I did).

Anyway the advert explains itself pretty much, hopefully if there's any interest we could get a few training sessions before trying to enter some sort of league, kind of only looking for laid back people who enjoy a laugh and don't take themselves too seriously.

All abilities and ages welcome, I used to consider myself quite a decent player (I had a weeks training at Falkirk FC when my interest in the game was waning but didn’t go back) but the main problem is my fitness levels at the moment which I am looking to build back up through this (I've not even played 5-a-side for 18 months).

Anyway give us a shout if your interested, its kind of a work in progress at the moment as I need to gauge level of interest!
