The Glasgow Film Theatre and Glasgow Schools Film Festival are currently seeking an intern to work with the Learning team. The position is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in working within cinema exhibition, festivals and arts education.
Learning is at the heart of this exciting venue which is one of the UK’s best independent cinemas. Part Time Placement commencing July 2008
The ideal candidate will be able to commit between 14 - 21 hours per week for a period of no less than 3 months. Applicants should be over 18. This position is unpaid.
Role – Education Assistant
The successful person will work directly with GFT’s Learning department and assist with administration and marketing. Your role will include monitoring and maintaining the Learning pages on GFT’s website and building the GFT schools’ e-newsletter, updating databases, researching audience groups and education events, general administration (filing, emailing, letter writing, mail), promoting the Glasgow Schools Film Festival and other events to schools and other groups, welcoming guests and audiences to screenings and events.
Required Skills - good people skills, be computer literate, good organisational skills. Administrative experience an advantage.
