This is just a quick note for the dreaded bombfire night and pets.

This can be a huge stress for the dog and owners. The main thing you can't do is try reasure the dog during stress. You are only telling them that it is ok to act like that.

Walk your dog early in the evening. Turn up your tv or radio. Give your dog a stuffed kong etc to keep them focused on that. Ignore the reactions to the bangs. Go on with your normal life. Keep the night as any other night in the house.

Do some training with them to focus on you. Play games with them.
