Hi, I'm looking for some new friends to write to, maybe with a view to meeting up at some point if we both feel we're getting on all right. I'm a fairly shy person, always much happier spending time with people individually rather than in a group, so it would be great to find a friend with a similar temperament. Although if you're more outgoing and reckon you can bring me out of myself (and like a challenge) feel free to give it a go!

My interests include reading (I've got a degree in English), travel, sightseeing, world cinema, current affairs and tuna-fish sandwiches.

I'd be particularly interested in finding a (platonic) female friend, but if you're male feel free to get in touch as well. Just bear in mind that I'm not remotely interested in blokey chats down the pub about football and I doubt if I ever will be!
