English (as a foreign language) Teacher Tutor Available
I am 29 years old and am currently living in Glasgow. I enjoy working with and meeting new people and I love languages and teaching. I am currently studying towards a degree in Modern language Studies and I am comfortable working people of different ages and abilities.
I am able to travel to a tutee but would prefer for a tutee to come and be tutored by me in my home near the city centre, and can be very flexible as I am studying through The Open University.
I gained my TEFL qualification during a period of volunteer work in Mexico with the charity GVI. This training has enabled me to teach TEFL at various levels, to various ages and abilites, with limited resources.
I have taught both large and small groups, and also individuals. I have experience of teaching school children aged 6-16, and also adult learners at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. I have experience teaching holiday and general conversational english, aswell as more in depth sentence structure and grammar and spelling, and industry specific english (I taught the local Police Department and tourism staff during my time in Mexico)
I use a variety of different teaching styles and approaches to suit the needs and learning style of the tutee, and focus mainly on speaking and listening, although am able and happy to work on reading and writing skills as well.
Each lesson is individually tailored to meet the needs of the tutee, but also to follow the natural structure of learning English as a foreign language. I am able to supplement an existing curriculum, or to specialise in any particular area of concern or interest. I am also able to devise and implement a curriculum based in the needs of the tutee if none is currently in place.

•TEFL (150hrs+ )
•Higher English, Maths, French, German
Availability: Weekends / Weekdays (all times)
Rate: £10p/h in my home, £12p/h in your home. Rates negotiable for groups or families.
