Glasgow 2014 Delivering a Lasting Legacy for Scotland

Date posted: Tuesday 24th June
Location: Glasgow

Last year, Glasgow won its bid to host the Commonwealth Games in 2014. Work is starting now on making sure the Games leave a lasting legacy for the whole of Scotland, and the Scottish Government is holding a series of public meetings across Scotland, to hear your ideas.

The roadshow reaches Glasgow on July 10th, at the University of Strathclyde Students' Union on John Street from 2.00-3.30pm, and at Tollcross Leisure Centre in the East End from 6.00-7.30pm. Members of the Games Legacy Team will give a very short presentation about the work underway, and then its over to you for discussion.

Places are limited, so if you would like to come along, please call us on 0131 244 0993 or email Glasgow2014legacy@scotland.gsi.gov.uk. For more information about the Games see the webpages at http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Topics/Sport/Commonwealth-games.
