Lead Mechanical Engineer Power Sector
Our client has come to the UK with an excellent reputation for Design, Project Management and Construction work in the Power Sector. They are intend on developing business in the Thermal power Sector, Renewable Power Sector and The Nuclear Power Sector. As a result they are looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer with experience in these sectors.
The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the correct mechanical design and preparation of all mechanical related documents for power plant construction or retrofit works. Our client is looking for experienced professionals with knowledge of mechanical equipment related to coal power plants, CCGT or clean coal technology including coal boilers, static and rotating equipment.
Candidates will be degree qualified Mechanical Engineers with 7-10 years working experience as Mechanical Engineer in Power / Industrial Plant EPC projects. Ideally the bulk of your experience will have been gained working on Coal Fired Power Plant and therefore candidates will have knowledge in
Coal boilers and retrofit works
Gas treatment plants
Static equipment and piping interconnections
Large diameter piping
Market prices and cost estimation
Mechanical engineering works
Quality Control and Quality Assurance of engineering documents
Claim management
Material management
