Parents of children aged 5-12 years:we are looking for children to participate in a research projec

Date posted: Tuesday 24th November
Location: West End

We are researchers from the Department of Psychology at the University of Glasgow. Currently we are investigating how perceptual abilities develop throughout childhood. Specifically, we are interested in understanding how different cultural backgrounds influence the way children perceive the world around them. In order to do this, we use a sophisticated camera called an ‘eye-tracker’ that enables us to record a child’s eye-movements as they look at different images on a computer monitor.

We would like to invite children aged 5-12 years from Western (U.K., U.S.A. etc.) cultural backgrounds to participate in our research. Our studies typically take under an hour to complete and we pay £5 per hour to all of our participants.

If you would like to take part or would like more information, please contact:
Dr. David Kelly - 0141 3305007 (tel); davidk@psy.gla.ac.uk (email);
or Helen Rodger - helenr@psy.gla.ac.uk (email)
We look forward to hearing from you!
