Job description
·The office based substation section provides expertise in all aspects of substation design on stand alone assignments as well as part of multi-disciplinary teams.
·As part of this role, the successful candidate will undertake assignments including the provision of cable installation and cable design specifications including ratings, technical assessment of supplier's tenders and design review from 11kV industrial distribution systems up to 400kV transmission systems.

Candidate specification
·With excellent communication skills, applicants should be educated to degree/HND level, with relevant quality experience in a cable engineering role and preferably either chartered or working towards chartered status.

Candidates should be prepared to undertake short visits within the UK and overseas as required, to meet clients and contractors, at short notice.
