Nil by Mouth

Voluntary Position, approximately 1 session per week

Help us to deliver our Anti-sectarian Awareness Raising Workshops in Secondary Schools

Nil by Mouth is a small charity based in Glasgow, and we are the only national charity which focuses solely on the issue of sectarianism in Scotland and its negative social impact. We are involved in a wide variety of work and partnerships, including delivering awareness raising workshops and campaigning for change.

This voluntary part time role (approx 1 session per week) involves delivering awareness raising workshops within secondary schools, mainly in and around the Glasgow area.

An interest in equality for all, and in particular anti-sectarian work taking place in Scotland would be useful for this role. Strong interpersonal skills, presentation skills and ideally some teaching or training experience would also be an advantage. For this position volunteers require to be able to work on their own and to handle sensitive issues as well as working well as part of a small dedicated team. Your ideas and input towards how we deliver our message will be welcomed and encouraged. It would be helpful to have your own transport, and travel expenses will be paid.

In exchange we offer the opportunity to develop your experience of working with young people, and to actively support positive change in Scotland.

If this opportunity is of interest please email your details to mail@nilbymouth.org , or call us on 0141 225 8008 for an informal chat.
