Glasgow Toastmasters is a non profit making organisation which helps people to improve their Speaking Skills, Leadership Skills, Confidence and Self-Esteem.

The club allows you to develop skills which can help with Interviews, Meetings, Public Speaking,Giving Presentations,Developing the English Language, Wedding Speeches, Getting Promoted, Meeting New People and lots more.

We meet the first and third Tuesday of the month in the Central Hotel in Glasgow (right beside Central Station) from 7pm - 9pm.

Guests are ALWAYS welcome and you are encouraged to come along a few times before you decide if you would like to join.(this is completely free) After this membership fees are £54 for 6 months.

We are a very supportive club. It's NOT about people showing off, even the most accomplished of speakers get nervous! It's all about DEVELOPING & IMPROVING your skills. You get really great feedback as well as the chance to learn from others.

It's a really mixed age and gender group, and we always have plenty of laughs While members are expected to take part in the speaking, guests are also encouraged to join in, but there is no pressure. Quite often people will come along to the first meeting and quietly tell one of the members they do not wish to speak, and this is absolutely fine. But the folowing week they come back and are happy to have a go.

The format of the night goes something like this:
Welcome by Toastmaster of the evening
Members introduce their roles for the evening
Fun table topics section (best part of the night)
3 prepared speeches (where members have prepared a speech and deliver it to the group)
