I'm 27. I'm able to sing, play guitar (mostly rhythm), and play drums, with varying degrees of skill. I'm also pretty interested in, and have some experience of, music recording/production. Have started experimenting with laptop/synth stuff too, early days.

Looking for people who'd be interested in coming up with and developing ideas and songs, and ultimately start playing live in Glasgow and beyond. I was in a band in Edinburgh for a few years (singing/guitar/writing) so have a fair amount of experience when it comes to gigging. Would be useful if others had some live experience also (fairly steep learning curve!), but by no means essential.

Don't have specific requests in terms of what instruments people can play, but obviously a mix of skills that would be conducive to playing live would be good! I like vocal harmonies, so singing a bonus. I'm pretty easy about what role I would play in the band, would happily play drums if required.

My tastes are generally mainstream indie/rock, but more and more getting into electronica. Errors spring to mind as a local band that i've got a lot of time for lately, and I thought De Rosa were excellent before their demise. I don't like overly long songs that don't go anywhere; short, sharp and to the point much preferable.

As for the obligatory list of likes/influences (alphabetical selection from my ipod): Bill Withers, Boards of Canada, The Cribs, Duran Duran, Elbow, Grizzly Bear, Maximo Park, Modest Mouse, Nick Cave, Pavement, Radiohead, Strokes, Talking Heads, Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
