The Yellow Light of Death is a manufacturing fault with original model Playstation 3.

IT HAS NO PERMENANT SOLUTION.

If repaired, It will re-occur be that within 1 month to 3 years depending on :

The Heat the GPU is re-attached at
The type of Coolant applied.

The only PERMENANT solution is to have the motherboard replaced by Sony which will set you back £140 if you are outside warrenty or a new machine if you are within warrenty.
