1018 Head Chef
This business is based in the Scottish Borders north of Carlisle and consists of a 6 bedroom hotel, delicatessen and 35 seat restaurant. We are looking for a head chef to run the restaurant operation. The style of food is traditional British with gastronomic flair. Everything is made fresh and in house. You will need to be competent on sauce and larder and will need some pastry experience for the dessert section and as baked goods are sold to the public too. You will also need some butchery experience.
The working week is split shifts Wednesday to Saturday + 8.30 – 4 straight on Sundays. You will qualify for 5.6 weeks paid holiday per annum. The team consists of chef + 1 (or 2 for busy shifts).
Your duties and responsibilities will include rotas, stock control, cleaning schedule, temperature record keeping, staff training and working to a set GP.
There is a live in option with this position. The salary is £20K to £21.5K live in or £22K to £23K live out.
