The research aims to improve our understanding of how memory processes change over time and to help differentiate memory problems accompanying healthy ageing from those present in dementia.

The current study uses a test called ADEPT to test memory, and you'll be asked to press buttons to indicate whether a picture you see on the screen paired with a word you hear has been presented before.

The test also uses a technique known as EEG to measure your brain activity during the task. It comprises of tiny electrodes that sit on your head like a hairnet and is completely painless!
