Giftedpeople is a new gift voucher business that will allow people to give skills and locally made goods – not imported, production line stuff. The gift vouchers will be flexible – the person who is given the vouchers will be able to choose how they want to use their vouchers.
We are looking for suppliers who are willing to provide services or locally made goods that people will want to choose as gifts. Our web site will launch late November and will, at the start, serve Glasgow and the surrounding areas.
Our market research shows that women want craft items, pamper type treats or ironing and other really practical services – the kind of thing they can’t get their partners to do. Young people tend to want to learn new skills and men say they want thrills (though some admit that they want the practicals done too!)
It’s not just the standard type of services that we want to offer – we also want the unique and memorable experiences. We want to appeal to all types of people and welcome enquiries from people who feel they have a particular service that they would want to deliver to minorities. The important thing is that people feel they have really connected with other people in their community, contributed to the local economy, kept their carbon footprint down and been given a quality service.
You will have your own business or offer this on a self employed basis in addition to other work that you do. You may even be contacting me on behalf of a not-for-profit organisation. You may already be advertising on Gumtree or other sites - but I won’t violate these sites anti-spamming policies by contacting you directly. There will be no upfront costs to you. You will set your own prices.
