Eden Scott are currently recruiting for an experienced Care Services Manager to join a growing organisation based in the outer Glasgow area.

You will be working directly with children with complex support needs, and supporting the day to day management of the service

The Role

You will work alongside the registered manager and in the absence of the registered manager will assume overall responsibility for ensuring that:

Parents, carers, children, young people and staff have the opportunity to contribute as appropriate to the evaluation of the service.
Staff are involved in setting and achieving clear goals aimed at improving the service, and that reports outlining the performance of the service are made available to all stakeholders.
Regular audits and quality control checks are completed and any agreed actions are put into practice.
The organisational policies and procedures meet all legal requirements and agreed standards, for the service and into practice. including training whistle-blowing and managing risk;
They take a lead role in the recruitment of staff and volunteers ensuring that this is done
Staff are encouraged to gain the qualifications required for registration with the SSSC.
Ensure that they establish and maintain good and effective communication partnerships and networks with all relevant parties.
Experience Required

A qualification as determined by the SSSC for registration; such as a relevant professional
qualification and /or an SVQ 4 in Social Care
A minimum of 3 years practical experience working directly with children with complex support needs
Be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of current statutory requirements, Care Commission standards, registration requirements and the SSSC Codes of Practice
Demonstrate your ability to manage, motivate and support staff teams on an ongoing basis and through periods of change.
Be able to demonstrate an ability to assess and manage risk.
