Volunteer Web Designers Programmers for street crime project
I am looking for any volunteers to help create a nationwide public database helping victims of street crime. This is a non profitable project which aims to bring attention to the community and assist the police in local cases of street crime as well as providing support for victims.
Thousands of cases of street crime go unsolved every year including unarmed/armed assualt, robbery and rape. The public deserve to know what crimes occur in their areas and be given the chance to help the victims of these events.
From my research I have noticed that a few areas across the nation have their own online community bringing awareness to local street crime. I believe that a website which the public can provide information on local street crime from across the whole of the United Kingdom will give victims and also witnesses a chance to come forward. Some of you may already know of a site which caters to this subject and I would appreciate it if you could bring this to my attention.
I am looking for people who have been affected by street crime in the past or anyone who would just like to help make a difference. This is only an idea at the moment but with enough interest and volunteers we could help bring more awareness to our communities and hopefully justice to thousands of street crime victims.
Anyone can contact me with their ideas at streetsafeuk@googlemail.com
I look forward to working with you.
