We are working exclusively with an oil and gas major. They are opening a brand new technology facility in Stirling and have a number of requirements. As a part of the opening, one of these roles is for a Mechanical Designer.

You will be part of a mechanical engineering team developing new subsea wellhead and riser technology. Ideally, you will have prior experience within this discipline but our client is happy to consider good designers from other applicable industries.

You must be qualified to HND/Degree level and possess several years experience of working on 3D mechanical designs with industrial design and manufacture applications. Sectors that are applicable include, aviation, defence, automotive, nuclear, etc

Experience of working with the Inventor design package would be beneficial. Candidates with training on other 3D suites such as Pro-E, etc will easily convert with training. Candidates possessing 2D design experience cannot be considered at this stage.

The ability to perform engineering calculations would also be beneficial.

This position is only available on a staff basis.
