So me and my mate are sitting in cafe hula having a coffee and he asks me how im getting on in my search, and i say ,
well........went on a few dates, met a few nice girls but here i am still looking.

So after a blether about life and music and telly and football and allsorts of stuff that friends talk about, he asks me.... what is the best thing about having a girlfriend and being in a relationship? And what sort of woman are you lookin for?

After a bit of a pause i answered...........F**k, i dunno man, i suppose its just having someone to share things with, and after describing what i like in a woman i said, i suppose we're all looking for the female equivalent of ourselves.

So i thought i'd do another ad and this time i'll just be even more honest.

well that was 3 months ago, and what a 3 months its been!
to be honest i went a bit o.t.t! ach well you only live once eh!
went to london to see u2 and just kinda kept on partying, went to new york to see them too, and had the most amazing time, yes im a big u2 fan, say what you want about them, but if you want to slag them then you really are a little bit narrow minded , in my opinion anyway!

soooo here i am, still single and theres only so much of your mates company that you can take, so time to calm it down a bit i think, but even at the grand old age of 39 im still prone to the odd moment of rock n roll madness, its good for you!
but the past few months made me realise a few things, about myself and life ....so the job is going, im gonna go to college again and get a wee job somewhere for extra cash. i dont think i was cut out for the 9-5 world, but who knows what the future holds.

oh and my other mate told me that, i seem to be attracted to women who are a bit ....erm, nuts.....and that i better find someone who's a bit more stable, you know i think he's got a point there! well maybe?!?!?!

i think there's someone out there for everyone and i think that if you dont look after that person you'll lose them.

I laugh at the stupidest of things, people tripping over pavements and standing on dog crap etc, i laugh at the most un-pc jokes, but i still have a tear in my eye when i watch forrest gump. I can be quite chatty and opionated sometimes but can also be shy and quiet, sometimes i love company and having people around me and sometimes i just want to be by myself.
I wear my heart on my sleeve and when i fall for someone i fall hook line and sinker, no half measures. im not clingy, we all need our space, im not jealous and posessive, if you hold on to something too tightly you've already lost it.

Ive been married and had another long term relationship after that. I have a 16 year old son, who means the world to me. He is a big part of my life but he's old enough to know that i need to have a life of my own too.

I love music, going to gigs and concerts, comediens, the pictures, having a quiet drink and sometimes having a mad night out, quiet nights in watching telly, eating cornflakes watching big brother.or watching a movie with a takeaway and a beer or bottle of wine. Never been one for clubbing, not my scene.
I grew up in a pretty rough part of glasgow so i m a bit rough round the edges at times, but i do know how to behave myself and im proud of where i came from.
i'd like to travel and see a bit more of the world.

Im no adonis, but i try to look after myself. Ive been called cute,handsome, sexy and an ugly bastard, sometimes by the same woman! haha

What do i like in a woman?.....dont have a type looks wise.......it is the visual thing that attracts us to each other but it's the person within that grabs the heart.
I suppose i like the quiet unassuming type, quirky even, whatever the hell that means?
