I have recently become unemployed after completing my SVQ3 in Amenity Horticulture with Glasgow City Council as well as having SVQ1 in Amenity Horticulture. This has given me experience in providing a service to a high standard in public parks including the Peoples Palace gardens in Glasgow Green. I have also worked in the Fossil Grove in Victoria Park as well as assisting in the maintenance of Pollok Country Park, Kings Park and the surrounding areas in Glasgow. During my apprenticeship i had to gain my NPTC City & Guilds Spraying Licensce Pa1 and Pa6. I have a good knowledge of plant species in both latin terms and common terms. I have also worked to DEFRA's guidelines in removing and destroying of Phytophora Ramorum (Sudden Oak Death) as well as completing all basic machines training, vegetative propagation. I also have experience in large scale returfing operations which i helped with in preparation for the World Pipe Band Championships held annualy in Glasgow Green.
