Business Analyst
My Client is currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join their Manufacturing operation in Ayrshire. This is a new role brought about due to business growth and planned expansion into other market sectors and represents a fantastic opportunity in the current market.
The role will report directly to the NPD Marketing Manager but will be the key point for communicating information to other decision makers in the business. You will have the ability to interpret a range of data and convert it into user friendly trends / charts.
The main duties of the role are as follows:
- Responsibility for forecast accuracy of all products by product type and customer
- Continued revision of forecast accuracy reports to ascertain reasons behind the error % and implement necessary changes accordingly.
- Provide variance analysis on actuals to forecast
- Provide root cause analysis on variances
- Manage the timely run-in/run-out of materials through the forecast in conjunction with Supply Chain and Product Managers
- Production and analysis of financial information
- Take responsibility for the development and implementation of controls and processes
- Preparation and analysis for the budget and forecast process
- Analyse and report on Sales v Forecast
- Full involvement in the analysis and report writing of different product lines
The ideal candidate will have commercial experience but may also have a background in accountancy or a similar analytical profession. Good communication skills are of paramount importance as the incumbent will have direct contact with large customers and senior managers in the company.
