Clerk of Works, Overhead Lines
My client is one of the largest distribution companies in the UK and they are currently looking for a Clerk of Works, Overhead lines.
Excellent career progression opportunities. An hourly rate of £25 - £35/ hour.
Based in various locations around the borders and Central Belt.
Job Description:
*The Clerk of Works shall ensure that the Principal Contractor is pro active in discharging the duties required of him under the CDM Regulations, not least in managing all safety aspects of the construction works, e.g. conducting regular site safety walks, holding co ordination meetings and tool-box talks with all contractors.
*Liaise with Gas/Water/Telephone/Electric, regarding protection of their services etc.
Candidate Specification:
*Ideally experience will have been gained in a project delivery environment.
*An understanding of UK CDM Regulations and/or National Grid standards will be an added advantage.
*Exceptional candidates holding HNC/HND qualifications and proven experience will be considered.
*Proven technical capability associated with transmission (132kv to 400kv) overhead lines.
