It Applications Support Analyst
Eden Scott's global Pharmaceutical client is looking to recruit an experienced IT Applications Support Analyst who will provide analytical and technical support to laboratory systems, including custom databases, custom and configured web applications, configured client server applications and database servers.
You will work in a wide ranging role providing evaluation, development, testing, implementation, and support of software and related processes to meet the organisations needs.
Key duties:
Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing laboratory systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
Develop ancillary systems within labs to assist in creating efficiency gains. These systems may link to LIMS and other downstream reporting systems in a regulated environment.
Have full end to end experience of lab automation in a Contract Testing environment.
Will conduct data analysis and plan/assist with data migration from legacy systems.
Provide development and support of production applications which may include configuration, administration, database maintenance, upgrades/patches, system documentation, user support, custom and ad-hoc reports, bug fixes, enhancements, and training.
Develop, document and implement policies, procedures and standards to ensure internal controls and provide effective database and software management.
Configure system settings and options; plan and execute unit, integration and acceptance testing, as well as validation; and create specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems.
You will work closely with project managers, business analysts, software architects, business users, other developers, quality assurance teams and other stakeholders to ensure successful on-time and on-budget launches of new applications and upgrades or enhancements to existing applications.
To be considered for this role you must have previous experience working in a similar role ideally for a Pharmaceutical or clinical research organisation.
Salary will be negotiable depending on the level of experience of the ideal candidate.
